120-54 fuel pump timing
Good evening,
I have purchased a 120-54 Nectra,
The fuel pump was removed long before i purchased the tractor,
My question is do i need a special tool or is there marks on timing gears?

Hi, I am also looking for the torque setting for bearings and cylinder heads

120-54 fuel pump timing
Good afternoon John , I don't know if you're still enquiring for fuel pump timing .
There are no special method to apply and no more specific tool. As well to the general diesel engine it's necessary to set correctly the injection pump facing to the front cylinder right position. This one should be adjusted at 6.10 mm to TDC turning in clockwise. The injection pump must be locked thanks to an internal 0.6bar pressure sent by mean of a manual pump connected to the front cylinder pump outlet. The pump gear is written with two marks 2/4 & 3/6. At the coupling time, you mesh one tooth 3/6 facing the two oposite gear teeth noted "0".
About several torque values :
-Head cylinder screws are M14 class 12.9 = 3 daN.m + set with an angle 120° + set with an angle 120°
-bearing screws M14 class 10.9 = 16-17daN.m.
-connecting rod screws M12 class 12.9 = 3daN.m+set with an angle 60°.
